SANDWICH – According to radio transmissions, a “28-year-old female” was most likely ejected from the rollover before being airlifted to an off-Cape trauma center [see following HN Video]…
The rollover crash involved two vehicles on Route 6 westbound, between Exits 2 and 1, shortly after 7:00 p.m. this evening.
According to sources, the female driver was found unresponsive in the middle of the highway after apparently being ejected from her vehicle during the rollover crash. She was immediately taken to a landing zone at the Wing School, just off Rte. 130, and airlifted to an off-Cape trauma hospital with a severe head injury…
UPDATE: According to Boston 25 News, “The driver of the second car, a 23-year-old woman from Dennisport, was treated at the scene and released…”
As of 9:45 p.m., state police and Mass DOT workers were still on scene sanding the highway due to hazardous fluids that were spilled during the crash… all emergency vehicles finally cleared the scene at 9:52 p.m..
