Pedestrian down on Main Street after driver fled scene… [VIDEO – Plus other rush hour news briefs…]

HYANNIS – Barnstable Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident which left a man down in the middle of Main Street.
At about 5:15pm, police and rescue rushed to the East End in front of Bradford’s Hardware for an injured pedestrian that had been struck by a sedan that didn’t stop and fled the area…
Police are looking for some type of white sedan, possibly with front end damage, possibly a Subaru or similar make…
The injured 49-year-old male pedestrian was able to communicate with rescue and his injuries did not appear life threatening…
Police are checking the possibility of video footage from surveillance cameras in the area…

The accident remains under investigation by the BPD and no other details are available at this time..

HYANNIS - At about 5pm, police arrest a 27-year-old Hyannis woman for felony larceny after Macy's store detectives stopped her for allegedly shoplifting.
Nicole Barselow is being charged with Larceny Over $250 according to Barnstable Police Sergeant Kevin Tynan.

HYANNIS - Officers responded to the Barnstable High School gym after the Wareham basketball coach reportedly caused a scene after being tossed out of the game.
Police arrived on scene at about 7:18pm but the ejected coach had already left the building. The reason for the alleged outburst is uncertain...
