At about 8:12PM last evening, Barnstable Police squad cars rushed to the Sea Captains’ Condominiums for what turned out to be a pistol whipping with a shot fired.
A male suspect fled the scene, according to sources.
The male victim reportedly received a head laceration.
One person appears to have been transported to CCH, but there was no further information at the time of this report.
A police K-9 team was deployed to search the immediate area. BCI was called for…
Barnstable detectives were on scene and were still actively investigating this incident at the time of this report.
UPDATE — 2/19/2017 — There has been nothing official from the Barnstable Police yet, but sources indicate this may have been a drug deal gone bad… where one person was confronted and struck in the head with a pistol… the pistol possibly discharged while striking the victim…
