Excerpts from previous Hyannis News coverage:
MID-CAPE – There’s new evidence police across three Mid-Cape towns are searching for the same guy responsible for a total of four armed robberies over a period of three days… where cash was taken… and at least one instance where the bandit grabbed a couple packs of Marlboro Reds on his way out the door…
(You can’t forget the smokes…)
Four Robberies/ Three Days:
1. Saturday 3/29/2014 – Yarmouth Police rushed to an armed robbery at the Hess on the corner of Route 28 and Berry Avenue… A knife was shown and a bearded white male fled the scene…
2. Sunday night – 3/30/2014 – Barnstable Police responded to an armed robbery at the Cash Market on Route 149 in Marstons Mills… A knife was shown and a bearded white male fled the scene… but not before grabbing cash out of the drawer, along with two packs of Marlboro Red Cigarettes, according to police radio chatter at the scene…
3. Monday afternoon – 3/31/2014 – Yarmouth and Barnstable Police responded to an armed robbery at the Hess on Route 28 at the Yarmouth/Barnstable Town Line… A knife was shown and a bearded white male fled the scene…
4. Monday night – 3/31/2014 – Mashpee Police responded to an armed robbery at the Alltown convenience story and Mobil gas station located at the Mashpee Rotary, Routes 151 & 28… A knife was shown by a white male… and this time possibly two white males fled the scene… details are still pending regarding this latest robbery… and Hyannis News is attempting to confirm if there is, indeed, similarities in this robber with the previous three in Barnstable and Yarmouth… check back for updates…
