INITIAL HN REPORT & “VIDEO”:
EAST FALMOUTH – [DEVELOPING] – According to the following radio transmissions, at around 8:51 p.m. last evening, Falmouth Police dispatchers began receiving multiple calls reporting shots fired on Brick Kiln Road.
Shots reportedly went through a bedroom window at an address on Brick Kiln Road. There is no indication that anyone was struck during last evening’s “drive-by,” according to radio transmissions.
Initial descriptions of a suspect vehicle fleeing the scene are that it definitely had a Massachusetts registration with a clear license plate cover on a silver sedan, according to dispatcher transmissions.
Falmouth cruisers scrambled looking for any silver or gray cars leaving the area. Moments into the call, one unit radioed that he had already checked most of Route 28 up toward the Mashpee town line.
At least four shell casings were found on scene, and at least two bullets struck the residence, according to radio transmissions.
According to one dispatch radio transmission, every single caller mentioned that the suspect vehicle had a clear license plate cover.
Near the end of the following HN “video,” Falmouth officers began to zero in on a suspect at a residence on Teaticket Highway. Officers carefully illuminated a vehicle parked on the property and apparently located a vehicle that checked all their boxes. After carefully shining a spotlight toward the vehicle in question, one officer can be heard saying over the radio, “that’s the vehicle.”
[DEVELOPING – NO OFFICIAL DETAILS WERE AVAILABLE AT THE TIME OF THIS REPORT.]
The following HN “video” contains Falmouth Police radio transmissions that are carefully edited in an effort to remove the names, license plates, and certain address details of initial persons of interest. Many of the names, license plates, and addresses discussed during the radio chatter were eventually ruled out as the investigation unfolded. Also, the audio notes and initial audio itself are not the official results of the investigation. HN will provide updated official details as they become available.
