UPDATE – 12/10/2016 – 11:45pm – A source close to the family informs HN that the bite victim is out of surgery and expected to survive.

At 14:40 on 12/10/16, Centerville Osterville Marstons Mills Fire Department received a call for an adult female that had sustained injuries from a dog bite. Ambulance 326, Car 321 responded along with Barnstable Police Department. Based on the extent of her injuries, crews requested aeromedical transport for the patient.
Ambulance 326 transported patient to the Beth Israel Hospital in Plymouth, where they were met by Boston Medflight helicopter that subsequently transported patient to the Mass General Hospital in Boston.

Some time before 2:00PM, Barnstable Police and COMM Rescue rushed to 44 Waters Edge for a serious dog bite, where the reporting party was described as being hysterical…
An ambulance crew requested a Medflight to a local landing zone, but opted at the last minute to rush the patient over the bridge to [Beth Israel Hospital in Plymouth], where she was reportedly airlifted to a Boston area trauma center (said to be Mass General Hospital, according to a second source…) with injuries described as life-threatening, according to sources… NOTE: This information has not yet been officially released…
As you will see in the following RAW footage, HN arrived at 44 Waters Edge just as a Barnstable Animal Control Officer was struggling to lift the dog up into her van.
The dog was described as a bulldog in radio transmissions. A neighbor mentioned that the family had recently moved into the neighborhood and the dog was usually friendly when the owner was around. The neighbor believed the dog was some sort of “pit bull” mix… she also mentioned the dog was very protective of the home when the owners were not around. There may have been two smaller dogs also inside of the home… [Developing]
