Routine crack bust at BK Lounge…
Hyannis – At approximately 3pm members for the Barnstable Police Street Crimes Unit (SCU) stopped a white Toyota Camry with a male driver and female passenger in the Burger King parking lot on North Street in downtown Hyannis.
The young female passenger, well known to police, was questioned, run for warrants and released.
The male driver was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, and upon further investigation it was learned that he was in violation of an existing restraining order.
The male was subsequently arrested and transported to Barnstable Police Headquarters for booking on charges related to possession of crack and the violation of the restraining order.
SCU Detective Lieutenant John Murphy stood by and waited for a duty wrecker to tow the Camry.
