SANDWICH – A driver was hospitalized after crashing into a tree in the median of Route 6 eastbound between Exits 1 and 2 shortly after midnight this morning.
And as you will hear in the following HN Video, the male driver will be summoned on the charge of Operating Under the Influence…
A part of the tree fell into the eastbound travel lane on the other side of the divided highway which required police to respond to both sides of Route 6.
The male driver and sole occupant was evaluated and transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. His current condition was unknown at the time of this report.
The Massachusetts State Police are investigating the crash…
