UPDATE: According to sources, today’s suspect was also caught on camera stealing about $900 in merchandise from an Ulta Beauty store in Attleboro, MA.

HYANNIS – A “self-employed psychic” from Maine was arrested after allegedly shoplifting again from the same store where she is also accused of stealing over $1200 in cosmetics back in June.

As you will hear in the following HN video and police audio, at about 6:30PM, Barnstable Police Officers responded to Ulta Beauty at 790 Iyannough Road when store employees recognized a shoplifter as the same woman who stole from the store back on June 16th of this year.

Police were called and arrived in time to catch the woman inside the store, allegedly shoplifting again…

Officers had surveillance images and were able to identify the suspect in relation to June’s crime. They also conducted a search of a Nissan Altima with Maine plates parked in a handicap spot directly in front of the beauty supply shop. More evidence was reportedly uncovered during that search…

According to Barnstable Police Sergeant Kevin Tynan, Susanne Nickerson, age 60, of Old Orchard Beach in Maine, was charged with felony Larceny Over for the June 16th theft, Possession of Burglarious Tools, and Shoplifting for today’s offense.

Police seized additional evidence and merchandise from inside the Altima and are currently investigating other possible thefts from shops at the Cape Cod Mall… [DEVELOPING]

As previously mentioned, today’s suspect professed to be a “self-employed psychic” who works along the pier at Old Orchard Beach… but when asked why she didn’t use her “psychic” powers to warn her that the police were on their way, Nickerson reportedly had no comment…

… she also had no comment when asked to use her powers to see what the bail would be.
