State Airwing locates missing woman’s body near secluded bog…
WEST BARNSTABLE – State and Barnstable Police located the body of a missing 32-year-old woman this morning.
The search started at about 10:45 a.m. when police became concerned about the depressed woman.
Officials from multiple agencies aided in the search, including K9 units from Yarmouth and even an “air scenter” (as opposed to a “tracker”) dog named Buster and his handler Officer Trudel from the Edgartown PD, Martha’s Vineyard.
Hours into the search, the State Police helicopter “Airwing 2” communicated with officers on the ground, directing them towards a secluded wooded area along the railroad tracks near the bogs on the Barnstable / Sandwich town line.
