STOLEN SCOOTERS: One recovered, second still missing…
HYANNIS – HN asks its readers to please be on the lookout for a stolen scooter.
The first scooter (above photo) was stolen early this past Friday morning from an address in the area of Pitchers Way. The second scooter (photo below) was stolen from the same backyard the very next day, early Saturday morning.
The owner was overcome with elation when a nearby Good Samaritan neighbor returned one of the stolen scooters. The middle-aged man told HN the two scooters are his only means of transportation and brand new they go for about $3000 each.
Barnstable Police and a crime scene Identification Officer from the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office gathered details and dusted the recovered scooter for prints.
The second scooter is still missing but shouldn’t be hard to spot. Here’s a photo of the actual KYMCO brand motor scooter, stolen from the area of Pitchers Way, from a neighborhood between West Main Street and Pitchers Way, early Saturday morning…

Please help this kind man get his scooter back!
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Barnstable Police at 508-775-0387 Ext. 8/dispatch operations…
