~The Very Real Problem of Racism~

A HN NOTE:
People need to speak up in opposition to the false narrative. There is now, indeed, a lot of racism in this country… but it’s often atypical these days. It comes from ignorance and frustration being acted out in very ignorant ways.
Growing up around here in the early ’70s, I have definitely seen racism between “whites” (that very general division based on pigment…) and African Americans. It even existed in institutions and among some in police work. But that was over 40 years ago… and even then, it was just a handful of ignorant cops who quickly matriculated out to retire in their own sad festering microcosms of hate.
In the ’70s I had friends who were victims of racism; an “African American” hockey teammate (I just saw him as a teammate) was singled out and called the “N” word by strangers when playing an away game… and in a separate incident, I saw a friend singled out and punched in the face just for being “white,” while we were walking a hallway after school minding our own business… a hallway where several angry and ignorant young males were hanging out. It sucked. It made us not want to return to school the next day. But did it make me dislike my “African American” childhood friends?
NO.
Hate is hate. It’s ignorant.
The hate I’ve personally witnessed and been subjected to in recent years has been often directed toward individuals because they are “white.” Some towards African Americans, but mostly toward “whites…”
But quantifying racism on divisions is illogical. Racism is racism [period]
All forms of racism are wrong. The truth is there is only one race, the human race.
We need to stop electing leaders who divide us all by the pigment of our skin.
But if you have a public sector job here… or lots of friends who are deceived by the false narrative… you learn to keep your mouth shut… why?
… because you will be targeted by the blind believers in this modern religion of division and hate
… you will be shunned
… black-listed
… de-funded
… UNFAIRLY EXCLUDED
… and hated for contradicting the false narrative… the false reality…
The truth is racism is often a two-way street, unfortunately… but it is. Racism effects us all.
But that is not the narrative some want to believe.
“HOW DARE YOU EVEN BRING IT UP!”
(Some of you may even be afraid to “like” this post…)
🙁
It’s scary to contradict the seemingly popular false narrative.
But you must. In your own safe way, you must do your part to end the insanity.
END THE LIES WHICH KEEP DIVIDING US ALL!
And keep loving your brothers and sisters in this amazing human family… even those overcome with frustration and ignorance – ESPECIALLY those overcome with frustration and ignorance!
