THINGS SUDDENLY ESCALATED: Hyannis man arrested after officers noticed bag of narcotics in mouth… possibly heroin… [HN VIDEO]
HYANNIS – HN was off at the scene early this morning when an officer was checking on a disabled motor vehicle which had run out of gas. The driver appeared cooperative and was having a casual – even somewhat congenial – conversation with the officer when HN decided to leave and start driving toward some type of fight in progress (which turned out to be young people just goofing around, practicing Jackie Chan moves and whatnot…).
HN was several blocks away when the officer came on the air telling dispatch to “send us another car!”
The following HN Video picks up right as HN was returning to the scene.
According to sources, officers had noticed some drugs and were investigating further… but things suddenly escalated when officers noticed a bag of what appeared to be narcotics inside the suspect’s mouth, which can be a potentially lethal situation!
A scuffle ensued where officers struggled to handcuff the man and get him to spit out the plastic baggy.
Hyannis Rescue responded and transported the suspect to CCH for evaluation.
The suspect was released from CCH a short while later. He was then transported back to BPD Headquarters on drug possession charges and resisting… [DEVELOPING]
