Police find H and arrest 4 after executing search warrant...
Actual BPD press release:
On Friday 4/11/14 at approximately 2 PM, Barnstable Police Narcotic Detectives and the Barnstable Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a Route 132 Hotel in Hyannis. The search warrant was the result of a month long investigation by narcotics detectives for heroin distribution by 23 year old Andrew Perry of Yarmouth, MA. Perry had been in Barnstable District Court only hours earlier in the day regarding his arrest for Trafficking in Heroin in December of 2013.
Upon executing the search warrant, Perry was found to be in possession of approx. 2.5 grams of heroin and $2630. Shortly after executing the search warrant, Jonathan Bridge, his roommate, arrived back at the room and a 1 gram baggie of heroin was located in his wallet. Detectives and SCU members also located other drug distribution material in the hotel room.
In addition, detectives and SCU members had been conducting surveillance of the room prior to the search warrant. This surveillance revealed that the suspects had been hiding something outside their room. Upon further inspection, it was discovered that the suspects had taped a small metal container of suboxone strips to a stairwell directly outside their room.
Andrew Perry and Jonathan Bridge were charged with Possession of Class A (Heroin) with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Class B (Suboxone) with Intent to Distribute, and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Laws. Perry, who also has another arrest for heroin distribution this past March, was bailed from the Barnstable Police Facility for $5000.
James Woodfall and Kevin Robie were also in the hotel room at the time of the search warrant’s execution. They were subsequently charged with Knowingly Being Present Where Heroin is Kept and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Laws. Woodfall and Bridge were bailed on personnel recognizance. Robie is currently being held on $1500 bail at the police facility due to a Distribution of Heroin case that is currently pending in Barnstable Superior Court. All four suspects will be arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Monday April 14, 2014.
