Tommy is optimistic his luck will change soon… [hn photos]
Tommy says he has been going to AA meetings and when it comes to getting off the streets, he believes staying sober will do the trick. HN stopped to have a nice chat with Tommy as he sat on the corner of North Street and High School. He was holding a sign saying “CAPE COD 2024… LET’S GO NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS.” Passersby seemed to like his team spirit, some tossing him a dollar or two while waiting for the light to change. Tom and I have met before, a few years back… and I recall he was very congenial towards me that first time we met. Today, he remembered me and the work I do… and kindly said he’s a big fan… and that he prays for my safety because he realizes my job can be hazardous at times…
… thanks, Tommy. You’re in my prayers as well!
“And, until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.”
