TRAFFIC STOP: Cadillac Lounge dancer suspected of selling crack handed trooper a gun shaped switchblade she kept in her pants…
HYANNIS – Wednesday morning – September 26, 2018 – at about 12:10 am, Massachusetts State Trooper Edward Alldredge reportedly initiated a traffic stop after observing a driver who appeared to be texting and slowly drifting to the left within a Route 28 travel lane near the intersection with Yarmouth Road.
According to Trooper Alldredge’s report, the driver, Terrell Williams from Boston, initially gave an incorrect date of birth, which raised suspicion and landed him detained in handcuffs. Officers eventually learned Williams had no arrest warrants…
… and that he also had a lengthy criminal record containing firearm charges and narcotics violations
Trooper Alldredge was speaking with Williams when he suddenly observed the passenger, later identified as Jessica Ewing, who told police she works as a dancer at the Cadillac Lounge, duck out of sight within the vehicle.
Jessica Ewing appeared nervous when questioned by the trooper and when asked why she couldn’t stay still, she reportedly admitted, “Yes, I’m sorry. I have a switch blade that I didn’t want to get in trouble for.” Ewing reportedly then handed the trooper a gun shaped switchblade which she kept in the front of her pants.
When advised that she would be searched and that a female officer would be requested to the scene, Ewing reportedly began to cry and told the trooper, “It’s just for personal use.” To which the trooper asked what she was talking about and she reportedly said, “Crack.”
A female Barnstable Police Officer was called to the scene…
Ewing reportedly reached into her pants and removed a bag containing about 7 smaller bags of white rocks, believed to be crack cocaine. The crack was reportedly packaged in a way consistent with being ready for narcotic sales. Ewing was placed under arrest.
The driver, Terrell Williams, was eventually taken out of handcuffs and released from the scene with a citation for texting and driving.
Back at the Yarmouth State Police Barracks, Trooper Alldredge also reportedly discovered about $1,100 in cash stuffed into Ewing’s jacket pocket.
According to Trooper Alldredge’s report, “The amount of cash in no specific order in her jacket pocket was consistent with receiving payments after drug transactions.
Jessica Ewing, age 24, of Hyannis was charged with Carrying a Dangerous Weapon and Possession to Distribute a Class B Drug.
* All aforementioned information is according to filed court documents… and all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
