Two Arrested during Drug Search Warrant in East Falmouth-
A drug investigation in Falmouth led to the arrest of two people and the seizure of heroin, cocaine, suboxone, methadone, marijuana, and cash.
Thursday at 1:51 pm, Falmouth Police served a search warrant at an East Falmouth residence. The search warrant is the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Investigators searched the property, located, and seized 30 grams of Heroin packaged in 20 bags valued at about $3,000, 10 grams of Cocaine packaged in 10 bags valued at about $1,000, over 375 grams of Marijuana valued at about $4,000, Suboxone, Methadone, along with $1,400 in cash. Also seized was material used to package illegal drugs, including digital scales and sandwich bags.
Jorge Guzman, age 38 of East Falmouth was arrested and charged with Trafficking Heroin, Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute Suboxone, and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Laws.
Brenda Montalvo, age 40 of East Falmouth was arrested and charged with Trafficking Heroin, Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute Suboxone, Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Laws, and Possession of Methadone.
Trafficking Heroin is a more serious offense than mere possession of an illegal drug or illegal drug distribution. Trafficking 30 grams of Heroin may be punished by up to twenty years of imprisonment.
Guzman was held on $5,000 bail and Montalvo $2,500 bail. Both are scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning at Falmouth District Court.
