VIDEO: 3 hurt after vehicle strikes tree, bursts into flames…

SANDWICH – [DEVELOPING] – Three people were hurt after their vehicle struck a tree and burst into flames this morning at about 1:35AM on Kiahs Way near the intersection with Quaker Meeting House Road.

One of the passengers needed to be pulled from the wreckage after sustaining what were described as serious injuries…

Three ambulances responded to the scene and additional details regarding the severity of the injuries were unavailable at the time of this report. It’s uncertain whether any of the injuries were considered to be life threatening. (One of the passengers appeared to be alert and able to sit up while seated inside one of the ambulances…)

Sandwich Firefighters extinguished the fully involved wreck and the following video begins shortly after the flames were knocked down.

Additional details were unavailable at the time of this report and the crash is being investigated by the Sandwich Police Department.
