VIDEO: Sheriff’s Deputies rescue whitetail buck from drowning…
According to their Facebook page, the Falmouth Department of Marine and Environment Services MES received a report of a whitetail buck in distress yesterday morning.
The deer was reportedly struggling in the vicinity of Vineyard Sound.
Just three days prior, officials report having a deer drown in the same predicament.
The Barnstable County Sherrif’s boat S300 was close by and responded immediately.
Sheriff’s Deputies brought the deer on board, let it rest, and brought it closer shore and allowed it to swim free the rest of the way to the beach.
The Falmouth Deparment of Marine and Environment Services are crediting the deputies for saving the young animal’s life.
