VIDEO: Yarmouth Hotel Fire… firefighters hustled to save building…
WEST YARMOUTH – At about 4:10pm, firefighters rushed to the Cape Cod Family Resort & Inflatable Park at 5:12 Main Street (Route 28) for flames inside one of the rooms.
Yarmouth and Hyannis Firefighters were quickly on scene and hustling to contain the blaze.
Route 28 was closed for a about 20 minutes as equipment was moved into position.
Hoses were immediately charged. Firefighters climbed to the roof to access the flames. A hole was cut, as rain made for slippery and potentially hazardous conditions…
The building was reportedly occupied when the fire started. Everyone evacuated in time and there were no reported injuries.
A hotel fire alarm had initially alerted firefighters, while witnesses in the area also called and confirmed seeing smoke.
Due to the quick response, only about four rooms received the brunt of the fire damage. (The steady rain may have also assisted to some degree…)
The following video highlights the scene right after firefighters arrived… [HN note: video available in 1080p HD… Press play… select HD in settings…]
