*** WATCH *** BULLET SMASHES WINDOW, LANDS ON COUCH NEAR TO WOMAN IN YARMOUTH
UPDATE: According to a social media statement on 2/25/25, the YPD do not currently believe the bullet fired into the home was a targeting attack. And despite emergency radio transmissions requesting rescue for lacerations from shattered glass, police now clarify that the woman was not near to where the bullet was fired through the front window of the home.
WEST YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS – Yarmouth Police rushed to an address on Camp Street (just south of the intersection with Jefferson Ave) earlier this evening, after a woman called saying that a bullet had just smashed through her front window and landed on a couch near to her. According to radio transmissions, Yarmouth FD rescue also responded to evaluate and treat the woman for lacerations from the shattered glass. She was not transported to hospital. A member of the sheriff’s crime scene unit responded to photograph evidence. A Yarmouth Police Detective responded. A special gunpowder sniffing dog also responded from the sheriff’s department. The investigation continued in the parking lot of some nearby stores on Yarmouth Road.
