*** WATCH *** DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SUSPECT WOULD NOT COME OUT… COPS NEEDED TO ENTER & GET HIM… MOTHER & INFANT SAFE
HYANNIS, Massachusetts – Shortly after midnight, Barnstable Police responded to a Hyannis address for an adult male allegedly threatening his girlfriend’s life and refusing to let her leave. The girlfriend’s infant child was inside the home as well. The adult male also allegedly made threats toward the police if they came to the residence.
Officers arrived and the woman and her infant child safely exited the home, along with an adult male roommate. All three were seated inside nearby cruisers.
Meanwhile, the adult male that was allegedly making threats would not exit the home, apparently remaining in an upstairs bedroom.
Additional officers responded and entered behind a ballistic shield. The suspect was arrested inside the upstairs bedroom without further incident. He is being charged with Domestic Assault and Battery, along with additional unconfirmed charges.
