*** WATCH *** FIRE TEARS THROUGH MULTIPLE CONDO UNITS IN BREWSTER
BREWSTER, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] – Crews responded to the end of Cherrywood Lane after police and firefighters discovered a fully involved condominium shortly after 1:00 a.m. this morning. About 75% of the structure was engulfed with flames. A second alarm was struck, bringing additional crews from surrounding towns, according to radio transmissions. Firefighters battled heavy flames using an exterior attack. The temperature was 15°F. Crews had the fire contained within about an hour. Firefighters were still on scene overhauling and wetting down hot spots at the time of this report, 3:45 a.m. Utility companies responded to shut down electricity and water. The condos were believed to be unoccupied at the time of the fire. A sign at the entrance to the complex read “Brewster Green Resort.” The State Fire Marshal’s Office was contacted.
