HYANNIS, Massachusetts – A 21-year-old Hyannis man is facing criminal charges after allegedly observed speeding and driving recklessly last evening.
As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, at around 10:17 p.m., a patrolman radioed he was trying to conduct a traffic stop on Route 132. The driver of a BMW sedan initially appeared to not be stopping for the patrolman. The driver did, however, eventually pull over in front of Cardi’s Furniture on Route 132, where he was issued a criminal citation for Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Speeding. The driver was allegedly observed traveling 110 MPH, police say. The speed limit on Route 132 in the area of the Cape Cod Mall is 30 MPH.
The driver could have been arrested but will be receiving a criminal summons in the mail instead. Either way, he’s facing criminal charges nonetheless…
