*** WATCH *** JUVENILE SURPRISES BURGLAR STILL INSIDE MULTIMILLION-DOLLAR SANDWICH RESIDENCE

SANDWICH – At around 9:45 p.m. last evening, Police raced toward 4 Greenfield Drive inside the exclusive, members only Ridge Club for what came in as a breaking & entering in progress.
As you will hear in the following HN Video, a juvenile caller reported they had just returned to discover a burglar still inside their home. When they entered they heard noises and actually saw the unknown intruder, according to radio traffic. The intruder then reportedly jumped off of the back deck and escaped into the woods.
Sandwich police squad cars saturated the area as a K9 unit from the Sheriff’s Department responded to assist. A couple of units from the Barnstable Police Department, including another K9 unit, also responded to assist.
Despite the efforts of responding officers, the intruder escaped into the night and is still at large.
4 Greenfield Drive is an expansive colonial style home built in the year 2000. It was last assessed at $1,797,300 according to Town of Sandwich tax records… and is estimated to have a current market value of $2,438,600, according to online sources.
The Ridge Club is a gated community with its own private security. Club security was notified of the breach as police were responding.
The details contained in this report are based on police radio traffic, sources on scene and online. It’s unknown if anything was stolen but according to radio traffic, some items were reportedly disturbed inside of the residence. The breaking & entering is being investigated by the Sandwich Police Department and HN will provide official updates as they become available.
