*** WATCH *** MAN ALLEGEDLY STABBED DURING FIGHT BETWEEN NEIGHBORS
DENNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] – A man was allegedly stabbed during a fight with his neighbor Monday evening. He was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with cuts not believed to be life-threatening at the time of this report, according to sources.
As you will see in the following HN Video, at around 9:50 p.m. last evening – 7/8/2024 – Dennis Police patrol officers responded to Hazelwood Road for a past fight between neighbors. Both combatants were reportedly injured and bleeding during the altercation, according to radio transmissions. Both combatants were reportedly separated and back on their own properties at the time of the call. According to sources on scene, there is a significant history of ongoing tensions and arguments between the two households.
The mother of one of the combatants approached and spoke with HN about her family’s ongoing problems with their neighbor. She explained to HN her version of events, where her son was allegedly cut while grabbing the knife in an effort to defend himself. HN did not speak with the other combatant and his version of the events are unknown at the time of this report.
Meanwhile, investigating officers called for a member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit to photograph and collect a large knife from the scene. Video evidence was also collected and is being reviewed. The neighbor accused of the assault and battery with the knife received a criminal summons while the investigation remains very active and ongoing.
