*** WATCH *** RESIDENTS, DOGS ESCAPE CHRISTMAS EVENING STRUCTURE FIRE IN YARMOUTH
WEST YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS – Fire broke out inside a single-family home at 9 Gill Ave in West Yarmouth Christmas evening… The following HN Video begins with two dogs who were evacuated and not harmed in the fire. The video then covers a post-fire interview with Chief Enrique Arrascue of the Yarmouth Fire Department. The footage then switches to earlier firefighting efforts. The time of the fire was around 10:45 p.m. last evening. Three people (including a woman in her mid-70s) were evaluated for smoke inhalation. Two occupants will be displaced. Two others on the property will possibly be able to stay in a camper. The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the occupants. There were no firefighters injured. Crews from surrounding towns assisted on scene and by covering Yarmouth Fire Stations.
