UPDATE FROM HARWICH PD – 5/6/26 @ 11AM:
At approximately 8:50pm last night, several 911 calls were made reporting a car crash that had occurred at the intersection of Pleasant Lake Ave and Harwoods Ave.
First arriving Police Officers and Firefighters found a pickup truck and a sedan both with significant front-end damage. The driver of the sedan was trapped inside his vehicle with life threatening injuries. After an extensive extrication process, Firefighters were able to safely remove the person, and he was transported to Barnstable Airport where he was transferred to a Medlfight helicopter and taken to a Boston area hospital.
An on-scene investigation resulted in the driver of the truck being placed under arrest. That driver was taken to Cape Cod Hospital due to some minor injuries sustained in the crash.
Josephine Marsh, age 26 of Brewster will be arraigned in Orleans District Court this morning on charges of:
1) Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol
2) Operating a Motor Vehicle to Endanger
3) Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle
4) Using Electronic Device While Operative a Motor Vehicle
5) Marked Lanes Violation

HARWICH, MASSACHUSETTS — A two-vehicle crash with heavy damage occurred shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday on Route 124 near Har-Wood Avenue. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life and took at least 30 minutes to extricate at least one trapped occupant. One victim was transported to Cape Cod Gateway Airport and flown by MedFlight to an off-Cape trauma center. The second driver was taken by ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital. Route 124 was fully closed in the area while the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Team investigated.
