WEST DENNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – A person was shot in the head inside the Moonfish Restaurant at 369 Main Street in West Dennis shortly after midnight, according to radio transmissions.

Dennis Police and State Police detectives assigned to the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office immediately responded, with crime scene technicians processing the restaurant. The suspect later turned himself in at Barnstable Police Headquarters.

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred last evening at a restaurant in West Dennis. A male suspect is in custody after turning himself in at Barnstable Police Headquarters. He is expected to be arraigned in Orleans District Court on Monday.

The investigation remains active and is being handled by the Dennis Police Department along with Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office.
