BARNSTABLE, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] – As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, Barnstable Police patrol officers and members of the Barnstable Fire Department, responded to a report of a crash where the driver was still entrapped last evening. The single vehicle crash happened on Route 6A in the vicinity of Keveney Lane at around 9:45 p.m. The first people on scene found a woman standing up inside the cab of a pickup truck that was now on its side. First responders were able to safely extricate the woman. She was eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital in a Barnstable FD ambulance. Her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. Firefighters then had to use a chainsaw to remove a tree from the roadway. Rte. 6A needed to be completely shut down for a period of time while first responders worked the scene. The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
