*** WATCH *** WOMAN SHOT AT HYANNIS RESIDENCE ON THANKSGIVING DAY [UPDATED]
HYANNIS, Massachusetts – As you will see in the following HN Video, police were called to an address on Hamden Circle Thanksgiving evening for a woman who had been shot. At around 5:30 p.m., officers taped off a section in front of 127 Hamden Circle with crime scene tape. An adult female, described to HN as being approximately in her 40s, apparently suffered a gunshot wound to her hand and chest, according to sources and radio transmissions. She was transported to Cape Cod Hospital. An involved vehicle reportedly fled from the scene, according to radio transmissions. Detectives and investigating Barnstable Police officers removed what appeared to be several brown paper bags of evidence from the crime scene. A vehicle parked at 127 Hamden Circle was towed back to Barnstable Police Headquarters where it was to be secured in an evidence bay. According to the latest updates from sources, the victim is expected to survive her gunshot wounds. It remains uncertain as to what led up to the shooting, but it does not appear to be a random incident, according to the current information from sources. UPDATE – BPD MEDIA STATEMENT – 11/23/23;
On Thursday November 23, 2023 at approximately 5:30pm the Barnstable Police Department received a report from the area of Hamden Circle of a female who had sustained apparent gunshot injuries. Members of the Barnstable Police Patrol Division and Investigative Services Division responded to the scene and began an investigation into the incident that is active and ongoing. The adult female victim was transported to Cape Cod Hospital by rescue personnel from the Hyannis Fire Department where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. This incident appears to be targeted and does not appear to be random at this time.
