WEST BARNSTABLE – The single vehicle rollover crash happened in the area of Shoot Flying Hill Road and the Service Road at about 8:30 p.m. this evening. In the following HN Video, watch as police and firefighters rush down a gully to extricate a woman and her 4-year-old dog named “Paris,” both entrapped in an overturned vehicle surrounded by scrub pines.
Both the woman and her dog were successfully extricated through a busted out rear window. The woman was evaluated by rescue and eventually reunited with her dog at the scene. Both Paris and her “mom” were apparently uninjured. Police officers gave them both a ride home.
The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
