Woman arrested for OUI with toddler in car after witnesses called police… [HN VIDEO]
UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as Stephanie Carty, age 33… and she was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence.
HYANNIS – As you will see in the following HN Video, police responded to the Festival Plaza shortly prior to 8:00 p.m. this evening after receiving at least one call of an intoxicated woman getting into her car with a young toddler inside. The call initially came from the area of PetSmart, but when officers arrived they encountered the woman parked in front of Shaw’s Supermarket. A young toddler was in the car with her.
A woman who told HN that the toddler was her niece, arrived to take custody of the small child.
After a brief investigation the woman was arrested for “OUI,” according to radio transmissions.

All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
