YARMOUTH MAN ARRESTED FOR LARCENY AND B&E MOTOR VEHICLE AT CAPE COD HOSPITAL…

HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN PHOTO NOTES] – Shortly after 10:00 p.m. last evening, Cape Cod Hospital security called the Barnstable Police stating they were with a man who was trying to break into a car parked near the entrance to the emergency room. Barnstable Police officers arrived at CCH and encountered Joseph F. Medeiros, 44, of Yarmouth with security officers, standing in front of the entrance to the emergency room. (Medeiros turns 45 on Monday.) Officers ran a check on Medeiros who, according to radio transmissions, has 146 entries on his adult record. Medeiros is no stranger to the Barnstable courts and local law enforcement.
Medeiros was taken into custody while a member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit photographed evidence, including two separate motor vehicles parked in front of the hospital last evening. According to the Barnstable Police, Medeiros was arrested and charged with “Larceny Under” and felony B&E of a Motor Vehicle during the Nighttime. Medeiros is expected to be arraigned when Barnstable District Court reopens on Monday. No further details were available at the time of this report.
