UPDATE- Official MSP response:
At approximately 8:50 PM a Trooper had a 2013 Kia Forte with Mass. registration stopped on Rt 93 south, north of I-495, in Andover. The reason for the stop was motor vehicle violation, including operating after suspension. During the stop, while the Trooper was standing outside the Kia, the suspect vehicle suddenly fled at a high rate of speed. As it did so it struck the Trooper in the arm.
The Trooper returned to his cruiser and began pursuing the suspect vehicle. Troop A Headquarters assumed command and control of the pursuit. The suspect vehicle continued to refuse to stop, fleeing down 93 south at a speed of about 100 mph. The suspect continued to flee on 93 into Boston and entered the tunnel approaching Purchase Street, with speeds of just under 90 mph. Troopers lost sight of the vehicle and terminated pursuit, but were able to make positive identification of the operator. We are seeking a criminal complaint against him.
The operator is identified as a 32-year-old South Yarmouth man. As he was not arrested, we are not releasing his name until he receives his summons and a court date is scheduled. He will be charged with the following offenses:
Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon;
