INITIAL HN REPORT:
SOUTH YARMOUTH – [DEVELOPING] – A 21-year-old was arrested for drunk driving after his vehicle barrelled off the roadway and struck a parked car before uprooting a tree last evening, according to radio traffic and police sources on scene.
At about 12:09 a.m this morning, first responders were dispatched to the crash on Great Western Road, just west of the intersection with Highbank Road.
The driver was evaluated by Yarmouth Rescue and released on scene.
Yarmouth Police conducted several field sobriety tests, eventually arresting the man for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor and Operating to Endanger.
