WEST YARMOUTH – [HN NOTES] – It was approximately 8:27 p.m last evening when HN began rolling on video on Rosemary Lane. According to a Yarmouth Police dispatcher, masked assailants with guns and bats just vandalized a vehicle parked outside of a residence there.

The vandalized vehicle, a Mercedes 300 series, was said to have been recently purchased by a local male, the one now reporting the malicious destruction of his property. The damaged vehicle, now with dents and broken windows, had not yet been insured or registered in the new owner’s name, according to sources.

The victim reported seeing armed assailants, including at least one firearm, but was unable to provide leads regarding their identities.

Officers documented the alleged crime with statements and cellphone images, but otherwise had very little else to go on at the time of this report. The incident remains under investigation by the Yarmouth Police Department.
