HN PHOTO: “Time for a change…”
A Yarmouth Police sergeant is seen here conducting an inventory search of a vehicle early this morning. The vehicle appeared as though it had recently crashed into something. Its front passenger side tire was missing a fist-sized chunk of rubber sidewall. And it appears as though the driver had been in the process of changing the flat tire for a better one that had air in it… but he wasn’t quite able to finish… (and that’s probably a good thing…) A Yarmouth police officer on routine patrol reportedly encountered the man snoozing behind the wheel. Rescue was called because the man was unresponsive at first… but it turned out to be nothing too serious, just an alcohol overdose that didn’t require further medical treatment. The driver was hauled in for drunk driving and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
