Driver arrested for OUI after reportedly driving up and down the street, “just running things over…”
YARMOUTH PORT – [DEVELOPING] – Concerned neighbors reportedly came out of their homes and tried to get the guy to stop!
At about 10:00 p.m. last evening, several Yarmouth Police squad cars rushed toward the area of Magnolia Road after receiving reports of a pickup truck driving up and down the street, allegedly running over and crashing into to things. The small neighborhood only has one entrance and responding officers wanted to head the driver off before he could leave the area.
Officers arrived in the nick of time, managing to stop the silver Dodge Dakota a short distance from the main road.
According to sources, the male driver was taken into custody for suspicion of Operating Under the Influence.
A member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s responded to take photos.
