UPDATE: According to their press release, the Mashpee Police officially announce that the you boy in last evening’s accident has died from his injuries… and that their thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his family at this time. (3.2.16)
UPDATE: According to Mashpee Police Sgt. John Dimitres, the victim of tonight’s accident was a 13-year-old boy.

MASHPEE — DEVELOPING — At about 8:30PM, Mashpee Police and rescue rushed to the intersection of Orchard Road and Quinaquisett Ave for a boy struck by a vehicle…

Police immediately started CPR and had rescue step it up….

The young male pedestrian, initially described as being approximately 20-years-old over radio chatter (actually 13-years-old) was rushed to CCH with life-threatening injuries. He was said to be not breathing and unresponsive… in cardiac arrest.

A medical airlift was initially considered, but eventually cancelled…

According to a source, the boy appeared to be crossing the street… but that has not been officially confirmed.
