WANTED WEDNESDAY: Accused of stealing jewelry from elderly Yarmouth visitors… [UPDATED]

YPD UPDATE:
The subject of yesterday’s Weekly Wanted Wednesday REBEKAH ANN ROONEY turned herself in early this morning at the Barnstable District Court and is no longer wanted.
The Yarmouth Police Department thanks everyone who read and shared the post on YPD FB and the media for alerting the public and putting the pressure on for Rebekah to come forward.
REBEKAH ANN ROONEY is wanted by the Yarmouth Police Department on a Felony Arrest Warrant for her involvement in crimes in Yarmouth which involved the theft of a large amount of jewelry from the rooms of elderly visitors while she worked in a motel in September 2016.
Rooney is well known to Cape Cod Area Law Enforcement and has a long criminal history in Massachusetts.
