LETHAL CROSSING ZONE: Another pedestrian stuck on Route 132… CCH placed on trauma alert… [VIDEO]
HYANNIS – Witnesses say the woman was thrown up into the air after being struck by a vehicle on Route 132 earlier this evening.
It happened on Route 132 near the parking lot entrance to Cumberland Farms, with Luke’s Liquors directly on the opposite side of the street. The entire stretch of the Route 132 Business District has been the scene of numerous serious and fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian accidents…
CCH was placed on trauma alert; the woman had serious injuries which included bleeding from the mouth. A good sign is that she was conscious and able to communicate with rescue workers.
A Barnstable Police accident reconstruction expert was called to the scene to investigate.
A member of the Barnstable Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit arrived to take photos.
The accident is being investigated by the Barnstable Police Department.
