PHOTO: Smash & grab purse theft while victim was just footsteps away doing her laundry…
HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – Her car was parked right out in front of the business next to the street when somebody saw her purse and decided to smash her car window.
This evening at about 7:00PM, Barnstable patrol units responded to the Clothesline Laundromat on Barnstable Road after a woman reported someone had smashed her car window and stole money from her purse while she was inside doing laundry.
A Barnstable Police K-9 unit is currently searching the area. (At the time of this report…)
A member of the sheriff’s crime scene unit is dusting for prints, taking photos, and gathering evidence.
A brick was reportedly found nearby…
