ARREST VIDEO: Man arrives at CCH after being stabbed in the chest… suspect arrested less than two hours later… with blood still on his pants!
DEVELOPING…
HYANNIS – At about 9:00pm last evening, Barnstable Police responded to the emergency room of Cape Cod Hospital after a man showed up with at least one stab wound to his chest.
All the particulars have yet to be officially confirmed… but according to sources, the stabbing allegedly occurred in the vicinity of Louis Street and Winter Street, after a man had some sort of verbal altercation with three white males. Other sources report the stabbing may have actually occurred inside a nearby apartment… HN is awaiting official details and will update this story as they become available.
Police responded to CCH and questioned the victim; leads were developed. At about 10:30pm, multiple patrolmen converged on a residence at 164 Winter Street.
Barnstable Police say Jason Lawson, age 31, of Hyannis, was taken into custody and charged with Assault & Battery of a Dangerous Weapon (a knife). Additional charges may follow.
Sources tell HN the suspect still had blood on his pants at the time of his arrest.
The condition of the stabbing victim is unknown at this hour.
