BLOODY SCENE: Fight between two females closes down local Caribbean food market… [HN VIDEO]
HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – Gemini Caribbean Mart, 18 Center Street, a popular market which sells fruits, vegetables, meats, hot meals, Jamaican food, pastries, herbal products and more, needed to be closed down temporarily after an altercation between two females resulted in a large amount of spilled blood.
According to sources at the scene, one woman was transported to Cape Cod Hospital after she was cut by a piece of broken glass during the fray.
The fight reportedly continued even after the woman was bleeding, which caused the food market to become contaminated with an unusual amount of blood.
Officers closed the parking area and restaurant until further notice because of blood contamination.
There was talk of having a professional cleaning service respond, along with the health inspector.
Officers posted at both parking lot entrances turned away customers, saying the establishment could possibly reopened as soon as tomorrow.
It’s uncertain what caused the fight. Police were still investigating at the time of this report and looking into criminal charges. HN will provide official updates as they become available…
