TOTALLY SHATTERED: Man arrested for OUI after crashing through highway fence… twice! [ HN VIDEO ]
CENTERVILLE – [DEVELOPING] – As you will see in the following HN Video, police arrested a man for OUI after he allegedly left the roadway, crashed through a highway fence, drove onto a bike path, and then crashed back through the same fence onto the roadway again…
At about 1:30 am this morning, Barnstable Police Officers arrived at the single vehicle crash on Shootflying Hill Road, right where it runs parallel with Route 132.
The following HN Video begins with dashcam footage approaching debris from a fence that landed in the middle of two Route 132 travel lanes, creating a significant road hazard. The footage then shows the first officer on scene giving field sobriety tests to the driver of a white van with heavy front end damage, including a fence post through the windshield into the passenger compartment. The driver is fortunate nobody was seriously hurt or killed.
The male driver was arrested and charged with OUI.

UPDATE – Sherman Anderson, age 40, of Hyannis, was charged with OUI-Liquor, Operating to Endanger, and Marked Lanes violations… according to police sources.
