Rollover onto guardrail required extra removal equipment… driver taken to hospital for evaluation…
BOURNE – The rollover crash where a vehicle landed up-side-down on top of guardrail happened on Route 6 westbound just prior to the Sagamore Bridge at around 1:15 a.m. this morning.
According to radio transmissions, the driver managed to self-extricate and was eventually transported to hospital for evaluation…
The state police requested special equipment, a “rotator” tow truck, to remove the vehicle from the guardrail. (But the tow truck company was Bucklers and they may have managed to remove the wreckage with just a couple ordinary wreckers. The crash happened on a notoriously dangerous curve leading up to the Sagamore Bridge and because of safety concerns, HN decided to just take some quick images and was subsequently unable to view how they finally removed the vehicle.)
The following HN Video briefly highlights the scene…
