“Motorcyclist” seriously injured after collision with van… [VIDEO]
UPDATE: It appears the motorcycle involved may have actually been scooter type vehicle.
HYANNIS – At about 5:05pm, police and rescue rushed to the intersection of Old Craigville Road and West Main Street after a report of a collision between a “motorcycle” and a van.
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries, but was conscious and talking with rescue workers as soon as they arrived on scene. He possibly suffered fractured ribs and a broken ankle according to sources. His injuries, although serious, were not considered to be life-threatening…
The motorcyclist was traveling east on West Main Street when he collided with the van traveling west and making a left hand turn onto Old Craigville Road.
The accident is actively being investigated by Barnstable Police and HN will provide updates as they become available.
