Car fire near Sagamore Bridge… set woods on fire… [Brief HN Reader Vid]
BOURNE – State troopers needed to shut down Route 6 for a period of time when a car fire also caused a brush fire.
At about 4:30PM, firefighters responded to the westbound lane of Route 6 just before the Sagamore Bridge.
A heavy column of smoke was observed by responding firefighters.
Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the car fire flames before attacking the brush fire…
There were no reported injuries and traffic was reopened, but not before causing traffic delays.
