CENTERVILLE BLAZE: Fire tears through large shed, closing down Route 28 for about an hour… [RAW HN VIDEO]
UPDATE – OFFICIAL COMM FD MEDIA STATEMENT: At 3:14am, COMM Fire Department received a call for a possible shed fire on Route 28, called in by a passerby on Route 28. Fire found to be in the rear of 51 Larch Ln, Fire was in a 10X12 lean to type out building found to be fully involved. The building and the contents were a total loss. Mutual aid was called for station coverage from Hyannis, Mashpee and West Barnstable Fire Departments. There were no injuries on scene. Fire is still under investigation.

CENTERVILLE – As you will see in the following RAW HN VIDEO, at about 3:17 a.m., firefighters and police responded to the area of Route 28 and Ames Way for flames ripping through a large shed, along with the fencing that ran along the shoulder of Route 28.
The fire was spotted and called in by a tow truck driver.
Route 28 needed to be completely shut down for about an hour as firefighters battled the blaze.
Firefighters were able to successfully contain the fire, preventing it from spreading to other nearby structures.
The shed was actually in the back yard of 51 Larch Lane.
COMM FD is investigating the fire and HN will provide official updates as they become available.
